Requirements for Victorian Skilled Migration Program 2024-25

Victoria has opened it’s 2024-25 skilled migration program for

Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190); and

Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 491)

Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190) has been allocated 3000 and Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 491) 2000 places in the 2024-25 skilled nomination visa program.

Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190) requirements for Victoria

You must

- be living in Victoria or overseas

- be committed to live and work in Victoria

- have had your Registration of Interest selected

- be under 45

- have competent English (when you submit your nomination application, Victoria requires that your English test has at least 12 weeks validity remaining so that there is enough time to assess your nomination application)

- have valid skills assessment in the relevant occupation on the eligible skilled occupation list

- have scored at least 65 points on the points test for your Expression of Interest in SkillSelect

Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 491)

You must

- be living offshore or be onshore recent Victorian graduate in Melbourne or be onshore recent Victorian graduate in regional Victoria or be onshore and hold another temporary residence visa and living and working in regional Victoria

- be committed to live and work in Victoria

- have had your Registration of Interest selected

- be under 45

- have competent English (when you submit your nomination application, Victoria requires that your English test has at least 12 weeks validity remaining so that there is enough time to assess your nomination application)

- have valid skills assessment in the relevant occupation on the eligible skilled occupation list

- have scored at least 65 points on the points test for your Expression of Interest in SkillSelect
